About me

Hey, I'm Bas Willem Kars a Technical Designer in the game industry. Throughout my life I have worked in many different environments, working as a remote contractor for a small company, freelancer working as an advisor to a solo developer or mentor for new people who join the game development space.

While technical design is my speciality, I also work a lot with information design. Creating not just mechanics and tools that work, but that can be understood and used by anyone within the project. This doesn't take away from my 4 years experience with Unreal, 3 years experience with Unity and 1 year of professional experience within Roblox Studio.
